Holy smokes! We're a Daily Dev!

Mind = blown! I'm totally overwhelmed by all the fav's and comments! Thank you everyone, this has been an amazing experience. I usually trade a llama for a fav but I can't even keep up. :dummy:

So even though he didn't come out perfect, he did come out in one piece which is really all I could hope for with this experiment in posable doll making. If I could change anything I would use shorter faux fur, but thankfully winter is coming so he won't look so silly with his warm coat ;)

Clay parts are made of super sculpey polymer clay, fur is just a long bit sold at hobby lobby in the doll section that was dipped in a paint/water solution to dye. Feather boa was chopped up for some of the white parts, and the rest of the white bits were undyed fur. Paint is acrylic, and the eyes are just plastic 12mm doll eyes from hobby lobby, BUT! they are changing - just waiting for his glass eyes to come in the mail :)

I hope to make many more of these in the future! And of course perfect the process.

I can see why this got a DD, the face is adorable and the different layers and textures of the body make him seem like her could jump up and move around at any moment!
